Parking Information 

Homecoming guests are encouraged to enter campus through the Huxley Avenue gate (accessible via Admiral Street). The GPS address for this entrance is 212 Huxley Ave. Please note the available parking locations, which are also viewable on the interactive map:

Shuttle Information

Shuttles follow a continuous route. Please allow 20 minutes between each stop. The entire route takes approximately 80 minutes. Please note, campus shuttles circulate around campus parking lots, and hotel shuttles circulate from campus to area hotels. Space is limited and on a first come first served basis, guests may need to wait for an available shuttle seat.

  • Last shuttle run begins at 10:30 p.m.

Saturday, October 4

  • Shuttles will be provided between local hotels, on- campus, and to satellite parking lot
  • Hotel shuttles will run 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. (Last Shuttle Leaves PC at 6 p.m.)
  • Guests will be dropped off and picked up at the Dominican Cemetery except during the Friar 5K, starting at 9 a.m., until 1 p.m. when guests will be dropped off and picked up at the Huxley Traffic Circle.
  • On-campus shuttles will run 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
  • Satellite parking shuttles will run 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Sunday, October 5

  • Shuttles will be provided between on- campus and to satellite parking lots

What is Homecoming?

This signature fall weekend combines elements of Alumni & Family Weekend (previously held in February), New Student Family Weekend, and St. Dominic Weekend. Featured events are designed to engage students and their families, welcome alumni and friends back to Friartown, and honor the college’s most generous donors. This is a great opportunity for visitors to experience the ongoing transformation of PC’s campus in the comfort and beauty of a New England fall.

When is Homecoming?

Homecoming 2025 is the weekend of October 3 – 5. Alumni, parents, students, faculty, staff, friends, and fans — if you consider yourself a member of the Friar family, we hope you will join the celebration on campus.

What are some of the events planned?

You can look forward to a full schedule of events and activities including the Friar 5K, Friar Fest, Late Night Madness featuring Carrie Underwood, athletic competitions, and more.

Where should I park?

Campus will be busy with activity for the weekend. Guests are encouraged to enter campus through the Huxley Avenue gate (accessible via Admiral Street). Is the RIPTA available for Homecoming transportation?

Ride the RIPTA for free! Just like our PC students can ride the RIPTA for free, Homecoming attendees can, too. Pick up your pass at the front desk of your downtown hotel. Walk to Kennedy Plaza and take the 55 bus route to campus. Download the Transit app today, plan your trip, and track your bus in real time.

I am running the Friar 5K. Will I have a place to shower and change on campus?

Yes! Show your bib at the welcome desk of the Concannon Fitness Center and you will be able to access the men’s and women’s locker rooms. Towels and toiletries are not provided.

What to Expect
Track 15 is a food hall in Providence’s historic Union Station, offering 7 local Rhode Island restaurants, a full-service bar, and both indoor and outdoor spaces.
Expect a high-quality dining experience featuring local seafood, pizza, Italian, Mexican, Indian, Turkish, and burger options with a central bar for ALL drinks.
It is a cashless system.

  • For 21+ guests:  PC’s very own Friars Forever Light Lager and Hux Seltzer  will be available at the bar or sip one of our Signature Cocktails…the Friar Fizz!

Parking Options

  • 500 space surface lot right next to Track 15-11 Memorial Blvd
  • 250 space parking garage under the Courtyard Marriott-5 Memorial Blvd, adjacent to Track 15
  • (Both are pay lots, and you can leave your car there to walk to the AMP for Late Night Madness)
  • Both facilities offer discounted parking when you buy food or drinks for under 2 hours.
    • Ask for a QR code from the restaurant or bar where you made your purchase.
    • Scan the QR code first at the parking machine.
    • Then scan your original parking ticket.
    • On your way out, use your original parking ticket to exit at the gate.
    • $8 for up to 2 hours. $4 for every 30 minutes after that.

Kick off basketball season with an AMP’d-up night at the Amica Mutual Pavilion! With student acts and a kickoff celebration for our men’s and women’s basketball teams, this year’s event features a performance by Carrie Underwood.

Will Old’s be open during Homecoming Weekend?

Yes! Old’s can’t wait to welcome our guests back to PC. On Friday night, the outdoor beer garden is reserved for Friars of the Last Decade from 8-10 p.m. Only pre-registered guests will receive a t-shirt at check-in. Limited walk-ins are welcome based on capacity. Inside Old’s will still be open for parents and other guests.

Is there Wi-Fi available on campus?

Yes! Campus visitors can connect to the PC-Guest wireless network. When you connect to PC-Guest on your device, you will be prompted with a login screen with a button prompting you to “sign in.” Click this button and enter the username Homecoming25 with the password Home25.

I did not register in advance. Can I still come to Homecoming?

Walk-in registration is available. All attendees must check in at the Slavin Center upon arrival to campus. Please note, some ticketed events may not be able to accommodate walk-ins. We encourage all guests to register online by Friday, September 26, at noon to secure event tickets.

I have questions. Who should I contact?

I need to update my Homecoming registration. How do I do that?

Click on the link received in your initial Homecoming confirmation email. Follow that link to make changes for non-paid events. For events with a cost, you can contact 401.865.2412 or email homecoming@providence.edu to complete a purchase. Please note that you will not receive an updated confirmation email after making changes to your Homecoming registration, but the initial link will automatically link to your updated registration.

I require special accommodations for Homecoming. Who do I contact?

If you are a person with a disability and require an assistive device, service, or other accommodation to participate in a program or event, please contact the Central Reservations Coordinator (401.865.1040; Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.) in advance of the event.
